What type of rider are you?

I like riding alone, but I must say that I have a lot of wonderful experiences riding with friends. I take my time, make regular stops, more than I really need.
혼자 라이딩을 하는 것을 좋아하지만, 친구들과 함께한 훌륭한 라이딩 경험들도 갖고 있습니다. 라이딩을 할 때 필요한 것 이상으로 혼자만의 시간을 갖고 주기적인 휴식을 취합니다.

Please introduce yourself, and your cycling experience.
간략히 자기소개와 사이클링 커리어에 대해서 소개해주세요.
I am a citizen of The Netherlands, 72 years old and I love long-distance bicycle touring. I made 200+ km rides since I was 12 and toured in over 30 different countries. Came to Korea in 1993 as a bicycle tourist, one year later my company sent me for a 3 months’ project. But that turned out to be an everlasting mission and since 1994 I call Korea (i.e. Busan) my home.
저는 72살 네덜란드 사람이고, 장거리 사이클링 투어를 매우 좋아합니다. 12살 때부터 200km 이상의 라이딩을 했으며 30개가 넘는 국가를 투어했습니다. 사이클링 여행객으로 1993년에 한국에 처음 왔는데, 이듬해에 회사에서 3개월 프로젝트로 저를 한국에 파견했습니다. 당시 경험이 인생을 바꾸는 큰 동기가 되었고, 1994년부터 저는 한국, 특히 부산을 제 집이라고 부르게 되었습니다.
What area of Busan are you from?
부산 어디에 사시나요?
I live in Namcheon-dong but used to live in Yeonsan-dong for 24 years.
현재는 남천동에 살지만 24년동안 연산동에 살았습니다.
What is your favorite route, and why?
가장 좋아하는 루트와 그 이유는?
Not a particular route, but certainly a favorite area. That is in Gyeongsang Bukdo, enclosed by the line connecting Yeongcheon – Gumi – Mungyeong – Andong – Yeongcheon. I love it because of the remoteness, the calm, the absence of highways.
특별한 루트는 아니지만 확실하게 최애 루트라고 말할 수 있는 곳은 영천-구미-문경-안동-영천 루트로 둘러싸인 경상북도 구간입니다. 고속도로에서 벗어나 차분한 느낌을 받을 수 있어 이 곳을 좋아합니다.
What is your favorite road in the Busan area?

The country lanes west of Busan, between Garak and Jangyu.
